The Lifeline program is designed to help qualified low-income individuals pay the monthly cost of basic telephone service.

A resident is qualified if the current total household income is at or below 135 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.

A resident is also qualified if they, a dependent, or other member of their household, are currently receiving one of the following benefits:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

  • Medicaid

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

  • Veterans Pensions Benefit

  • Veterans Surviors Benefit

  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) Section 8
